Steven Scammacca is a COVID-19 Support Analyst supporting the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response’s emergency response coordination effort. He provides the department with data consolidation and dissemination as well as briefs to senior leadership for all domestic emergency incidents and responses. He specializes in data analysis and visualization, pattern and trend identification, and communication strategies. During his 12-years’ experience in military and federal government, he has developed and maintained a passion for public service and driving initiatives to research-based decisions that lead to positive communal changes. His areas of interest include cross-border affairs and national security. In his free time, he enjoys exercising and studying chess.
