Stephanie Cascio, Ph.D., M.P.H., develops a variety of written material on topics ranging from basic research to emergency response. She is interested in all areas of public health and has a deep background in cell and molecular biology. Through her work in science communication for academia, nonprofits, and the federal government, she strives to help improve health for individuals and populations. Stephanie spent 10 years researching embryological development in mice and frogs, followed by four years at a biotech startup focused on bioartificial liver before completing her master’s and moving on to scientific communication. She loves having her hands in the dirt and nurturing growing plants, running a community garden, and the challenge of growing figs in Maryland.
