Allison Weingarten specializes in networking, team building, event management, writing, and policy analysis. Allison joined MDB after spending five years as Director of Policy and Interim Executive Director of Friends of Recovery – New York (FOR-NY), where she supported thousands of New Yorkers advocating for addiction recovery supports and policy change. Prior to her work at FOR-NY, Allison was a Fellow for the New York State Division of the Budget; a Program Director at Queens Community House; and a Legislative Director for the New York State Assembly Subcommittee on Workplace Safety. Allison joined MDB to combine her passions of recovery and supporting the labor movement. In her free time, Allison loves spending time outdoors with her daughter Linda.
