Elena Aguilar, M.S., provides technical and communications support for EPA water sector programs. Her skills include synthesizing and communicating technical information, coordinating projects, and using software tools for data analysis and visualization. Interested in how geographic analyses can be used to address pressing societal challenges, Elena appreciates the opportunity to support diverse projects at MDB spanning topics in environmental health, environmental justice, and habitat restoration. Her experiences in water, sanitation and hygiene, and marine-debris related projects solidified her motivation to support underserved communities in finding innovative water solutions. Outside of work, Elena enjoys outdoor activities like gardening, soccer, surfing, and spending time with family and friends.
