wward@michaeldbaker.comWilliam Ward is a lawyer, strategist, and facilitator who specializes in advancing environmental justice and community climate change solutions at the local and global level, with a focus on tribes and indigenous populations. As a member of the Senior Executive Service from 1998 until 2017, he served as EPA’s first designated Dispute Resolution Specialist, as Region VIII Regional Counsel, and as a principal advisor and facilitator for community and tribal outreach and engagement following the Gold King Mine Spill. William has served on United States delegations negotiating several international environmental agreements, including the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity. He currently supports community initiatives in disadvantaged communities in the United States and abroad. He enjoys writing poetry and practices QiGong.
