Omid Barr, MPH, specializes in applied research and provides communication support for federal environmental and public health agencies. His work includes applied research on water and wastewater infrastructure, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and synthesizing research articles related to environmental public health. Omid is particularly interested in working at the nexus of community resilience, environmental justice advocacy, and ecosystem protection. Omid brings to MDB skills in scientific writing, data and spatial analysis, as well as community outreach focused on drinking water and water quality issues. His experience working in the environmental field, including academic and non-profit sectors, displays his passion for public service and environmental sustainability. In his free time, Omid enjoys camping, skiing, and watching live music.
